How Chrisco prices compare with supermarkets

The price you pay includes the cost of collecting your payments (charged to us by our bank), special packing, delivery (unless where specified) and GST. Prices are fixed for the year. We do charge a little more than some supermarkets because of all the extra costs, but thousands of customers think that Chriscois great value and tell us they wouldn’t be able to manage without our help.

How do I calculate my payments?

Final payment for catalogue orders is due 25th October 2019, your payments depend on when you place your order and how often you pay them.
Once you start to add products to the shopping cart the weekly price will be displayed in the top right corner.  You can check how much your payments will be if you wanted to pay fortnightly or monthly or if you wanted to start paying later by clicking on the ‘Payment Calculator’

What is my Membership Number and why is it important?

You'll be given a Membership Number either when you place your order, or when you request a catalogue from us. If you can’t find it, please Contact us. Your Membership Number is important. It is the way that we identify you and keep your account up to date. Please write your Membership Number on all letters to us and also quote your Membership Number when you phone us.

What happens once I have placed my order?

You can expect to receive an order confirmation from us in the mail within 5 working days. Please check all your details very carefully as this is what we have on record for you. If any of the details are incorrect please Contact us immediately and we will make the necessary changes. If you do not receive an order confirmation please call us on 0800 555 333 or Contact us.

Can I change my order?

Yes, you can change your order any time until the Last Change Date.  Just remember that changing your order can lead to an increase or decrease in your payments, a customer service representative will be more than happy to help you out. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Purchase for Last Change Dates.

Can I order Vouchers and Gift Cards from Chrisco?

Yes.  Chrisco offers a range of vouchers to make shopping at Christmas time easier. This is a great way to save for kids presents and other treats. You’ll be able to choose what to buy and when, so you can take advantage of specials.

Can I order items as a gift for someone else?

Yes. You can even add gift items to your own order. When you do, simply let us know that it’s a gift and during the checkout process we will request the gift delivery address. We won’t write to the recipient so it will remain a surprise.

Can I order any time during the year?

Yes. We take up orders up until the Last Order Date for each catalogue. You’ll need to refer to the Terms and Conditions of Purchase for these dates. Remember the earlier you order the more weeks you have to pay and therefore the lower the weekly payments.

Payment Information

How can I pay for my order?

By Direct Debit, Automatic Payment or Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard). Payments can be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly. 

Can I stop a Direct Debit payment?

Yes, if you call us by midday the working day before your payment is due we can stop a payment (i.e.: before Friday midday for a Monday payment).

What is a Direct Debit Authority?

A Direct Debit Authority allows a payment to be automatically deducted from your bank account. You can call Chriscowith your bank account details, complete them online when placing your order or by filling out the Direct Debit Request Form and posting it back to us.  Chrisco is the registered initiator of Authorisation Code 0330174. Our bank debits your account electronically on the day you have chosen (usually your pay day) It’s easy. Just fill in the form and then... relax.

What happens if I miss a payment?

We’ll automatically recalculate and slightly increase your future payments so that your order is fully paid by Friday, 25th October 2019.

Will I be charged if I miss a payment?

Chrisco will not charge you if you choose to miss a payment but your bank or Building Society may charge you a fee.

What happens if I can’t keep up my payments?

We understand that circumstances change and if you are not able to keep paying, please call one of our friendly Customer Service team to discuss your options on 0800 555 333.

What happens to my payments on Public Holidays?

Your Direct Debit payment will come out the previous working day. Please note that Chrisco is located in Auckland, therefore we observe Auckland Anniversary holidays. If you wish to skip a payment on a public holiday, or on the day after, you will need to let us know before midday on the working day prior.

HEADSTART PLAN

What is a HeadStart Plan? A HeadStart Plan allows you to make payments towards next year’s order, while giving you time to decide exactly which products you want. Once your 2019 order is fully paid, a HeadStart Plan for 2020 will automatically be created for you and your direct debit payments will continue (for the same amount as your second last payment for your 2019 order).

What if I don’t want a HeadStart Plan? If you do not want to have a HeadStart plan, you can tick the red box on the order form or simply call us on 0800 555 333 and we can do it for you.

What will my payments be under a HeadStart Plan? We will write to you to confirm the amount and other details of your HeadStart Plan payments prior to commencing your direct debits under the HeadStart Plan.

Are my payments refundable? Payments under your HeadStart Plan are fully refundable unless and until you convert them into an order for 2020. Once payments under your HeadStart Plan are converted into an order for 2020, Chrisco’s Cancellation Policy will apply to your 2020 order (see below for details, or click on Terms and Conditions of Purchase or visit Chrisco’s website: http://www.chrisco.co.nz/TermsAndConditions/#tab=purchase. You can convert your HeadStart Plan into an order for 2020 by filling out the order from in next year’s catalogue, by giving us a call on 0800 555 333, or going online at Chrisco.co.nz

What if I don’t convert my HeadStart Plan into an order? If you have not converted your HeadStart Plan into an order by 14th February 2020, Chrisco will automatically place an order for you for goods of a similar value to your 2019 order (unless you tell us not to do this). Orders that are automatically placed by Chrisco are fully refundable unless and until you confirm your order. What happens to my 2019 Headstart plan? If you have a headStart plan set up for 2019, you will need to conver this to an order by the 14th February 2019.  If you don't convert your order by this date Chrisco will automatically place an order for you for goods of a similar value to your 2019 order (unless you tell us not to do this). Orders that are automatically placed by Chrisco are fully refundable unless and until you confirm your order. Free Gift: To give you an extra helping hand, Chrisco will give a free gift to customers whose HeadStart Plan is converted into an order for 2020 (limit one free gift per customer).

Delivery

All deliveries are made from November to mid-December unless stipulated otherwise. We’ll send you a delivery advice card to inform you which day we intend to deliver your order . All deliveries are made on the day between 7am and 7pm. Customers must be home to accept delivery on the day advised, or make arrangements with friends or neighbours to accept it for you. While every effort is made to deliver on the intended delivery date advised, Chriscois not liable for any loss resulting from delay due to the customer’s failure to complete customer obligations. Chriscois not liable for any loss resulting from a contracted party’s failure to deliver on the particular intended delivery date advised. If for some reason we fail to deliver on the intended date advised, we will ensure that delivery will occur on an alternative date between November to mid-December (or as otherwise stipulated). Deliveries to the Chatham Islands will incur an onward forwarding freight charge, details can be obtained when placing your order. Should your delivery address change, please inform Chriscoimmediately.

Where do you deliver to?

Chrisco has developed an extensive delivery network which covers most New Zealand addresses. Should you live in, or move to a remote rural area, we may ask you to collect your order from a local pick-up point and some very remote areas may not be within our courier delivery range. Some customers live out side of our normal delivery areas and outside of our Rural Post Depot collection points. If this is the case you will be charged for Onward Forwarding Freight. When will my order arrive?

All products are delivered between mid November and mid December.

What happens if I change address?

If you change your address, simply Contact Us to let us know as soon as possible. If a delivery address is changed after 9th October 2019, Chrisco may charge an administration fee.

Shipping & Delivery

Delivery - Frozen goods

Due to the nature of frozen goods, customers must be home to accept delivery on the day advised, or make arrangements with friends or neighbours to accept it for you. We recommend you put frozen products into your freezer as soon as you receive them.

Delivery – Packing & Administration

Each order from the Home & Living catalogue (pg H1 to H91) and Toy and Gift 2019 will incur a packing and administration charge of $9.95, regardless of how many items you order.  All prices include delivery to your door with the exception of products showing the heavy icon a $50 delivery fee will apply to these items, up to a maximum $150 per order.  Each personalised order will incur a $12 packing and administration fee. We will inform you of all delivery charges when we confirm your order and payment details.

Delivery - Rural

Should you live in, or move to a remote rural area, we may ask you to collect your order from a local pick-up point and some very remote areas may not be within our courier delivery range. Please check this when you order.

Delivery - Change of address

Should your delivery address change, please inform Chrisco immediately. If a delivery address is changed after 10th October 2019, Chrisco reserves the right to charge an administration fee.

Delivery - Gift Card/Voucher

Gift Cards and Vouchers must be signed for on delivery. They will arrive by late November in plenty of time for your Christmas shopping.

Eligible entrants: Entry is only open to Australian and NZ residents who are 18 years and over and are a Chrisco Hamper member at the time of entry.

How to Enter: To enter the Promotion, the entrant must complete the following steps during the Promotional Period:
a) head online to www.chrisco.com.au (Australian residents) or www.chrisco.co.nz (New Zealand residents), register (if not already a Chrisco member); and

Upon receipt of payment to Chrisco by the entrant, entry will be automatic. A fully paid order must be finalized by the draw date/time to be eligible to receive an entry in respect of that order.

Limit one (1) automatic entry permitted per Chrisco hamper purchased in accordance with the above.

Bonus entries are available during the Promotional Period, as determined by the Promoter.

Proof of purchase: The entrant must retain proof of purchase. The proof of purchase required is an original receipt for the qualifying purchase.

Major Draw: The Major Prize Draw will be held at 12pm (Midday) AEDT on Friday 1st November 2019 at the Greeneagle Fulfilment & Distribution, Unit 5, 9 Fitzpatrick Street Revesby NSW 2212.

The first valid entry drawn will win that entrant (“Participant”) the opportunity to play a contingency game (“the Game”) for the chance to win $100,000.

Game Details (total of ONE (1) participant will play the Game): The Game will take place on Friday 15th November 2019 at Chrisco Hampers Head Office - 391 Park Road, Block E, Regents Park NSW 2143 (office location is correct as at 20/6/18 but office may move by date of game to another location in NSW) at midday 12pm AEDT.

Any and all costs associated with attending the Game are the sole responsibility of the Participant. If the Participant resides outside of NSW, the Participant may participate in the Game via telephone whereby they will select two (2) x numbers between 1 and 25 (inclusive) and a representative of the Promoter will select the two (2) x envelopes bearing those numbers on their behalf. If the drawn Participant resides in NSW but cannot attend the Game, the Participant may appoint a proxy over 18 years of age to play the Game on his/her behalf provided the Participant gives the Promoter written, signed notice to that effect before the start of the Game. If the Promoter has not been able to contact the Participant before the start of the Game, a representative of the Promoter will play the Game on the Participant’s behalf.

There will be twenty-five (25) envelopes at the start of the Game, each numbered one (1) through to twenty-five (25). Two (2) envelopes will contain winning symbols and the remaining twenty-three (23) envelopes will contain non-winning symbols. The Attendee will be required to advise the Promoter of two (2) numbers. A representative of the Promoter will then select and open the two (2) envelopes with the respective two (2) numbers selected by the Attendee. If there is any dispute as to the two (2) numbers selected by an Attendee, the Promoter’s decision in this regard will be final. 1/2 winning symbols from 25 envelopes ($10,000): If the winner selects two (2) numbers relating to one (1) envelope containing the winning symbols and one (1) envelope containing non-winning symbols, then the drawn Finalist in the Major Draw will win $10,000 (“Major Prize”), subject to verification by the judges and Loss Adjustor.

0/2 winning symbols from 25 envelopes ($5,000): If the winner selects two (2) numbers relating to two (2) envelopes, each containing non-winning symbols, then subject to verification by the judges and Loss Adjustor, then the drawn Finalist in the Major Draw will win $5,000.

A Loss Adjustor must be present at the Major Draw & Game to ensure the Major Draw and Game is conducted as per these Terms and Conditions.

o If either the Grand Prize or Major Prize is selected, the Loss Adjuster removes all envelopes and takes them back for validation of the prize claim.
o If the Grand Prize or Major Prize is not selected, the Loss Adjuster opens the Control envelope which reveals the number of the envelopes that has the two winning messages inside.
o The MC or Loss Adjuster then opens the winning envelopes to show the guests that the $100,000 was in there and that the mechanic is fair and secure.

Only one (1) prize of either $100,000, $10,000 or $5,000 will be awarded to the winner, depending on their result in the Game. If for example a winner wins the $5,000 prize in the Game, then the $10,000 and $100,000 prizes will NOT be awarded. The prize will be awarded to the winner via a cheque made payable in the winner’s name (or via EFT to a bank account in the winner’s name, if the winner so requests).

The winner from the Major Draw will be notified in person at the Major Draw.

Prize will be awarded in AUD if winner is a resident of Australia, or NZD if winner is a resident of NZD.

Unclaimed Prizes: Prize(s) must be claimed by 11/11/19 at 12:00 pm AEDT. In the event of an unclaimed prize, the prize will be redrawn on 11/11/19 at 1:00 pm AEDT at Greeneagle Fulfilment & Distribution, Unit 5, 9 Fitzpatrick Street, Revesby NSW 2212, Australia. The winner of the redraw will be notified by email and phone within two (2) business days of the redraw. The winner will be notified publicly (and their details published) in The Australian and at www.chrisco.com.au & www.chrisco.co.nz on 13/11/19.

1. The entrant agrees and acknowledges that they have read these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule) and that entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule). Any capitalised terms used in these Conditions of Entry have the meaning given in the Schedule, unless stated otherwise.
2. The Promotion commences on the Start Date and ends on the End Date ("Promotional Period"). Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission or deposit by the entrant. Records of the Promoter and its agencies are final and conclusive as to the time of receipt.
3. Valid and eligible entries will be accepted during the Promotional Period.
4. Employees (and the immediate family members) of agencies/companies directly associated with the conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter, its distributors, suppliers, subsidiary companies/businesses and associated companies and agencies are not eligible to enter. "Immediate family member" means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
5. The draw conductor may draw additional reserve entries in case an invalid entry or entrant is drawn.
6. No part of a prize is exchangeable, redeemable for any other prize or transferable.
7. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact each winner.
8. If any winner chooses not to take their prize (or is unable to), or does not take or claim a prize by the time specified by the Promoter, or is unavailable, they forfeit the prize and the Promoter is not obliged to substitute the prize.
9. If a prize (or portion of a prize) is unavailable the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that portion of the prize) to a prize of equal or greater value and/or specification, subject to any written directions of a regulatory authority.
10. No entry fee is charged by the Promoter to enter the Promotion.
11. Entrants must keep their proof of purchase specified in How to Enter for each entry as proof of purchase ("Proof of Purchase"). If an entrant fails to produce the Proof of Purchase for a specific entry or each entry, as and when requested by the Promoter, the Promoter has the right to invalidate the entrant's respective entry/entries for which Proof of Purchase cannot be provided and/or all entries submitted by that entrant and/or forfeit the entrant's right to a prize. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify: (a) the purchase was made from Chrisco Hampers; (b) the required product/s or service/s to be purchased for entry; and (c) that the purchase was made during the Promotional Period and prior to entry.
12. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant or winner, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant or winner.
13. Entrants' personal information will be collected by the Promoter. Personal information will be stored on the Promoter's database. The Promoter may use this information for future marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant electronically. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its privacy policy which is located at www.chrisco.com.au/PrivacyPolicy/. The Promoter's privacy policy contains information about how the entrant may access, update and seek correction of the personal information the Promoter holds about them and how the entrant may complain about any potential breach by the Promoter of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other Australian privacy laws and how such complaints will be dealt with. The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to enable them to participate in this Promotion and may disclose the entrants' personal information to third parties including its contractors and agents, prize suppliers and service providers to assist in conducting this Promotion and to the State and Territory lottery departments as required under the relevant lottery legislation. If the entrant does not provide their personal information as requested, they may be ineligible to enter or claim a prize in the Promotion. The Promoter may transfer entrants' personal information to countries specified in the Promoter’s privacy policy.
14. For the purposes of public statements and advertisements, the Promoter may only publish the winner's surname, initial and State/Territory/Country or postcode of residence.
15. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release as determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion, prior to receiving the prize.
16. If a prize is provided to the Promoter by a third party, the prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the third party prize supplier and the provision of the prize is the sole responsibility of the third party and not the Promoter. The terms and conditions which apply to the prize at the time it is issued to the winner will prevail over these Conditions of Entry, to the extent of any inconsistency. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any delay or failure by the third party to deliver the prize, any delay or failure relating to the prize itself or failure by the third party to meet any of its obligations in these Conditions of Entry or otherwise.
17. Any guarantee or warranty given is in addition to any relevant statutory guarantees and warranties and nothing in these Conditions of Entry restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) and/or Fair Trading Act 1986 (NZ) and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
18. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.
19. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to validate and check the authenticity of entries and entrant's details (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence). In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof as required by the Promoter to validate their entry, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Incomplete, indecipherable, inaudible, incorrect and illegible entries, as applicable, will at the Promoter's discretion be deemed invalid and not eligible to win. Entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third party rights, including intellectual property rights, are not eligible to win. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an individual to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and may render all entries submitted by that individual invalid.
20. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with these Conditions of Entry. In the event that there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter is final and binding on each entrant and no correspondence will be entered into.
21.
